Synopsis: We are tempted nearly every day to make ourselves ever more beautiful, more glamorous, more important and more powerful.  As recent world events have shown us, this temptation to power, if we allow it to rule us, causes great damage to others and to ourselves.  Without spiritual help any of us could fall prey to it.  Only our friendship with Jesus can save us from succumbing to the temptation of wielding power over others.
